It appears that some airlines are using auto-bidding to instantly match and exceed any bid I place on the used aircraft auctions. Is this allowed, and if so, how do you set up auto bidding? Thank you.

Please see this thread Used Aircraft Auctions for details on how the auctions work. In addition, you can no longer cancel an auction if another airline has already placed a bid.
Now with that said, to answer your question directly, automatic bidding is a feature. For automatic bidding you just enter your maximum bid. Please see the thread above for more details.
