Used Aircraft Auctions

Players can now participate in used aircraft auctions, a new addition to the used marketplace.

To put an aircraft up for auction, click the sell aircraft button on the aircraft details page, and under the auction section, choose a length and reserve price. (I know the UI of this page could use some work - it will be re-done at some point along with the aircraft details page)

Aircraft auctions work much like eBay. You set your maximum bid, and the system will automatically increase your bid up to your maximum, in the event that another airline bids on the aircraft. If the reserve is not met, the aircraft is returned to the seller. If the reserve is met, the aircraft will be sold to the highest bidder at the close of the auction.

If two airlines happen to have the same exact maximum bid, and the auction ends, the winner will be the airline who bid first.

As of right now, the auction length does not get extended with each bid, but that is something that we can discuss.

Auctions can be accessed under the Fleet menu.

I don’t know if I like this…

Well, at least it’s not replacing the regular used market… yet

I would like to see the starting price.

Reserve prices are almost never shown during an auction

Maybe the increment should be 100.000

That’s how auctions work, people work with last minute cash flow, and you probably should stop whining about it

It isn’t a problem, no matter how you look at it. It is literally a game mechanic. If you aren’t willing to accept that aircraft for that price than why are you bidding that price in the first place? If you are willing to accept the aircraft for that price, then you shouldn’t be upset that others have tried to raise your price and failed, just take it.

@northern Please stop grave digging old posts it is rather annoying and pointless, stuff is known and either on the docket to be looked at or a part of how things work like the actions with a fixed end time. Also mind your manners.

@lolliftw Also for you mind your manners, not a way to respond.

Technically what you’re doing (replying on multiple posts in rapid succession) could be considered spamming. Also threatening other players is frowned upon and against our rules and code of conduct. Roger that, was a bit fustrated they threatened me like that, but I would take note.
