I started a fresh game to try a new model of route management that would theoretically be a multi country based company, where I would have hubs in different countries and continents. For example I started with a hub in Heathrow, and also wanted to have a hub in the US for domestic flights there, however it appears I can only create flights that start and end in my own country.
I put a post on a different topic with the impression that there was a way to disable this barrier but as it turns out there isn’t. Would anybody else be interested in having the ability to create flights in multiple countries? Even if it meant having to buy another headquarters in that country I think it would be an interesting idea.
Otherwise I’m going to have to wait a week to reset my airline and make a US based one (which I just deleted to make my worldwide type airline)
The gameplay mechanics replicate the real world (i.e. you do not see British Airways operating domestic US flights - not necessarily because they don’t want to, but because they are not allowed to: see Freedoms of the air - Wikipedia).
Ooo that could be a good idea setting them up as subsidiaries.
I could do “-airline name- American” “-airline name- Euro” “-airline name- Aussie”
I’d love it if that idea would be added at some point in the future it would be exactly what I need. Until then I’ll wait so I can reset my airline and get a head start on my American branch of flights
