Fifth Freedom Negotiations for International Routes

I wanted to suggest a feature that could make international route planning more realistic and flexible: allowing fifth freedom negotiations. This would let airlines operate flights that stop in foreign countries en route to a third country, while still respecting each airline’s home-country base.

For example, I’d like to operate flights originating from my home base in AZI that stop in Bangkok (BKK) and then continue to destinations like PPT, GMP, HND, or even SFO. Currently, the game prevents creating foreign-to-foreign legs, which makes it impossible to offer these realistic multi-stop long-haul services.

Being able to negotiate fifth freedom rights would really help my airline because it is impossible to fly from any airport in the UAE (including AZI, DXB, AUH etc.) to PPT without a stop.

Would love to hear thoughts from the community.

Thanks!

I also have the same problem.

I bought a used A320neo with base in SIN, but it was stuck in KWZ, so I just had to sell it.

Could you not just ferry the aircraft, or was it not letting you ferry it?

I think this feature would be great. I also believe that having another city in another country as a branch would allow you to operate flights to other countries, as is currently the case. Currently, you are only able to operate flights within your country of origin, making it impossible to fly, for example, from Miami to Paris.

I love this idea. I really dislike not having freedom to have many hubs. I would love to see this added to game so I stop seeing the pesky you cant fly it notifacation.
